Allow approximately one, hour to walk the nearly 2 miles of trail. The walking distance may be shortened if you choose one of. the connecting trails.

Over 85 species of birds, 17 species of mammals, 4 species of amphibians, and 2 species of reptiles have been identified in the area. Insects have not been censused, but 15 species of butterflies have been identified.

A great variety of plants occur beside the trail; however, the plants have yet to be completely inventoried. This is a nature preserve within the City limits of Walla Walla. It is a part of the Public Parks, System of the City and is to be used and enjoyed by all citizens.
